While Premier Estate Properties has an impressive selection of luxury estates in our portfolio, it is not every day that we encounter something this spectacular. Stretching from the peaceful Intracoastal Waterway to the vast Atlantic Ocean, this modern masterwork is one of the most prestigious estates in Hillsboro Beach and South Florida as a whole. At once boldly innovative and timeless, sophisticated and sleek, this compound-like estate was designed by award-winning architect George Brewer with interiors by Gary Rubinstein. The project was completed in 2016 after a nearly six-year design and construction process.

Main Residence + Separate Guest House

1085 Hillsboro Mile, Hillsboro Beach, FL 33062 The property includes both a main residence along the ocean and a separate guest house situated along the Intracoastal with private yacht dockage. Between the two, the compound encompasses a grand total of 16,835+/- square feet with seven bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, three half bathrooms, and five garage bays.

Intracoastal + Ocean Access

The main residence boasts a pavilion-like outdoor space and luminous infinity pool overlooking the idyllic backdrop of the sparkling sea. Residents and guests may dip their toes in the white-sand beach just steps from the property, which fronts 125+/- feet on the Atlantic Ocean. By the Intracoastal shore, the separate two-bedroom guest house enjoys its own resort-like oasis with another pool situated next to the main yacht dock and side slip in a low-wake zone just minutes from the inlet.

Luxurious Amenities + Features

At the entrance to the main residence, a walkway floats over the sensuous night-lit water garden where tranquil coral-stone block fountains add to the sense of harmony. This extravagant entryway sets the stage for the expertly designed interior. One of the highlights is the bespoke German-made Eggersman kitchen, which is in itself a minimalist work of art. Other notable elements include coral-stone exterior details, travertine marble floors, and textural ceramic tiles framing the double-sided fireplace in the lofty foyer. Oceanside glass windows wrap around the airy dining room, connecting the indoors to the pool terrace and the ocean beyond.

Smart Home Technology

Earlier this year, tech billionaire and entrepreneur Jim Clark launched CommandScape, a residential and commercial security company in Delray Beach. Since the 1980s, Clark has founded or co-founded a number of notable technology companies, including Netscape, Silicon Graphics, myCFO, Healtheon, and Shutterfly. With a net worth of $2.1 billion, Clark is an extremely successful businessman and entrepreneur with a lengthy résumé and colorful life. According to Forbes, he lives with his wife in New York, and has a 300-foot yacht, a 100-foot racing sailboat, and a 30,000-bottle Burgundy wine collection. His latest venture, CommandScape, provides fully secure integrated building management and operating systems to manage, monitor, and automate the essential needs of a commercial building or private residence. Their suite of products and services allow business and home owners to monitor and manage multiple properties from anywhere in the world through an intuitive mobile application. With interest in both the tech world and luxury real estate space, Clark saw a need for a secure and integrated control system for commercial properties and large homes. CommandScape integrates lighting, blinds, access control, video surveillance, fans, security, fire alarms, and other functions. The CommandScape Navigator app is particularly attractive to those with investment properties all over the world. Users can access a unique floorplan view to manage lighting, blinds, security, and more, with a simple push of a button from absolutely anywhere. Plus, the app's secure technology eliminates the need for passwords that can be lost, guessed, or forgotten. CommandScape

The president and CEO of CommandScape is Don Boerema, former executive of Boca Raton-based ADT. The company currently has about 25 employees. Clark sold his Palm Beach estate in 2016 and moved to New York, where the company plans to open an office. With its world-class shopping, extravagant dining, and luxury real estate communities, Delray Beach was an obvious choice for this particular business endeavor. The city is in the middle of a growth renaissance, with a recent investment in public and private development that has attracted a number of large businesses to the area. Plus, there is an expansive collection of luxury properties in Delray Beach and surrounding South Florida communities. A high-tech security company designed for luxury residences is particularly relevant in this region. 9480 Bent Grass Court, Delray Beach, FL 33446

Premier Estate Properties agent Cindy O'Dare is sponsoring Live From Vero Beach, a music series taking place this upcoming January, February and March at the Emerson Center. O'Dare's fascinating past has a lot to do with her desire to support the arts and her community in Vero Beach. Today, O'Dare assists high-end clients with buying and selling luxury properties as a top-performing and award-winning broker associate at our Vero Beach office. Some may not realize that her real estate career was somewhat inspired by an unrelated industry and a unique business she ran in Miami during the '70s and '80s. O'Dare had a business called Home at Last, designed to take care of rock groups that recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami. She and her partner handled housing, transportation, catering, and anything else the musicians needed so they could focus on their music. She met and sometimes formed friendships with some of the major bands who recorded at Criteria, including Chicago, The Bee Gees, The Eagles, The Allman Brothers, and more. Over time, her business in Miami naturally evolved into an interest in the real estate industry. Cindy O'Dare "In 1976, my clients, The Bee Gees, called from The Isle of Man and said they wanted to buy three houses on North Bay Road and asked if I could help with that," O'Dare said. "I immediately took a one-week crash course with Bert Rogers School of Real Estate and got my license. They arrived a few weeks later and I sold them three of the most expensive homes in the history of Miami Beach." The transition from taking care of the rich and famous to selling luxury properties in Vero Beach was quite seamless, as the two share many similar elements and skillsets. You could say O'Dare has always been in the business of hospitality and making people feel at home, both temporarily and permanently. Her involvement with the music industry and celebrities also inspired her love for music, and a desire to support the environment and the arts. O'Dare is on the board of the Environmental Learning Center and contributes to the Cultural Council, Ballet Vero Beach, and other local causes. Plus, as part of her commitment to supporting the arts in 2017, O'Dare is sponsoring the entirety of the Live From Vero Beach music series. She sponsored a show last year and could not pick just one to support this year, so she decided to get behind the whole series. "I felt like our country wouldn't be what it is without the artists, the musicians, the dancers and the poets," O'Dare said. "The arts are always the first to go when the government makes cutbacks so it was a very clear decision I made this year." The series kicks off on Friday, January 12, and runs through Friday, March 30. Performers include Livingston Taylor and Karla Bonoff, Peter Yarrow, Live from Laurel Canyon, Poco, The Association, Broken Arrow (a tribute to Neil Young), "1964" The Tribute (a tribute to the Beatles), Firefall, and John Sebastian. O'Dare even has a personal connection to Firefall, her former clients and long-time friends. The band is best known for their biggest selling hit, "You are the Woman." O'Dare has maintained many celebrity connections to this day, as her clients became friends, especially after staying with her for long periods of time. The Eagles stayed with O'Dare seven times for months at a time to record "Hotel California," and O'Dare and her business partner even have the first "thank you" on the album's liner notes. In addition to supporting the work of musicians, O'Dare is passionate about promoting a local event in Vero Beach. She truly loves the community she lives and works in. "I love that Vero Beach is small but mighty," O'Dare said. "We have beautiful beaches, clean air, great restaurants and shopping, a world-class art museum, two regional theaters, an incredible ballet company, and no traffic. I love the sense of community here." Join O'Dare and her mission to support our local community and its amazing arts culture by attending any of the shows at Live From Vero Beach in January, February or March. Check out the full schedule and purchase tickets!
